Features and advantages of built-in furniture

Furniture production specialists and designers classify all types of modern wooden furniture into three main categories – cabinet, built-in and upholstered furniture. At the same time, the unique features of such types of furniture as cabinet and built-in are noted.

Experts also note that modern furniture manufacturers produce and sell both types of furniture with equal success, despite the fact that built-in furniture is developed, as a rule, on an individual basis and begins with inviting a furniture maker for consultation and taking the necessary measurements. The main advantage of built-in furniture is determining the optimal placement in any room or space.

Its placement is especially valuable in cramped conditions, when the size of furniture is calculated taking into account literally every centimeter of living space. Therefore, built-in wardrobes and other items are especially relevant in our old standard apartments, which cannot boast of their spaciousness. And at the same time, a living family needs pieces of furniture from so-called storage systems; to create and maintain order in the house, furniture is needed to store many household items, seasonal clothes and shoes. Therefore, high-quality sliding wardrobes are the best option for small spaces.

Built-in wardrobes (and other furniture) make maximum use of the internal space along their entire height from floor to ceiling. The optimal layout of their internal space also contributes to the maximum capacity of sliding wardrobes. From a design point of view, built-in wardrobes are in turn divided into linear, corner and radius wardrobes. What type of cabinet to use for manufacturing at a specific location is determined by a furniture company specialist who takes the necessary measurements, taking into account the customer’s wishes. It is necessary to keep in mind that the manufacture of a sliding wardrobe is a rather labor-intensive process with a large number of materials, so no furniture company will begin the manufacture of furniture elements and parts without preliminary measurements.

There is a misconception that built-in wardrobes are bulky pieces of furniture. In fact, this opinion does not correspond to reality, especially in cases where furniture makers make maximum use of all the features of the room configuration – construction and operational niches, corner spaces, etc. In these cases, the wardrobe is practically represented only by facades – sliding doors, for the decoration and decoration of which a wide variety of elements are used, as for the main furniture in a house or apartment. In addition to built-in wardrobes, built-in cabinets and chests of drawers of a wide variety of shapes and sizes are also widely used, including in window sill spaces.

The use of built-in furniture in no way means a deterioration in the level of designer interior of any room or hall. Moreover, a visually less noticeable wardrobe, harmoniously combined with other furniture, forms a certain style of an individual creative interior. To ensure harmonious unity of the entire interior, it is necessary that all furniture be made of the same materials with the same decorating style.
