Large facades with a unique natural pattern – cabinets, chests of drawers, cabinets – give furniture a special appeal. Another equally important advantage of wooden furniture is its high mechanical strength, reliability and good quality, and furniture manufactured in compliance with ergonomic standards ensures maximum ease of use, comfort and a truly homely, cozy atmosphere in the entire house or apartment.
Natural wood has been the main furniture material for many, many centuries; therefore, over the past centuries, furniture craftsmen have perfected the technology of wood processing, the manufacture of furniture blanks and parts, and the manufacture of furniture products.
Of great importance for modern people is the complete environmental friendliness of wooden furniture, which is so important in our time with many environmental problems. Moreover, as experts in household hygiene testify, furniture made from natural wood continues to radiate into the living space the warmth and healing energy accumulated during life, which have a beneficial effect on a person’s well-being.
The cost of furniture made from solid natural wood, especially from rare and valuable species, certainly significantly exceeds the cost of so-called mass-produced furniture made from modern artificial furniture and finishing materials. Such a high cost of luxury furniture made from rare wood is explained primarily by limited resources and the high cost of blanks. Another factor in the high price of wood furniture is the need to perform many operations manually using mechanized hand tools. The manufacture of many furniture elements and parts by hand ensures their perfect accuracy and fit during further assembly.
Considering the high cost of manufacturing elite and exclusive furniture made of wood, furniture factories have developed individual technological chains for their production. The beginning of manufacturing custom-made furniture is the development of its project with the participation of a furniture designer, followed by visualization, taking into account each type of wood and indicating all the defining dimensions.
A visualization of each piece of furniture is transferred to the customer for approval, and the customer is recommended to pay attention to all the main details of the furniture, including the layout of the interior space. After approval of the project and design of each piece of furniture by the customer, the project is transferred to designers and technologists for the development of design documentation.
Further, according to the technology, furniture craftsmen begin the manufacturing process in accordance with the design drawings of furniture parts and elements, while rough processing can be carried out on furniture processing centers. After manufacturing, the parts are sent for designer finishing followed by assembly.
