Oak furniture, primarily classic

For the manufacture of furniture, oak is used in various types, from natural oak with a clearly defined large pattern of wood texture to a variety of colors, giving the furniture an inimitable depth of aesthetic appeal. For the manufacture of unique luxury furniture, white or bleached oak is used, ranging from almost white to light gray in a variety of shades and natural texture patterns. To obtain such wood, it is treated with special compounds that bleach the fibers, resulting in a wide range of shades – snow-white, milky white, ivory, silver, cream and many others.

The main requirements for the manufacture of furniture, along with design and aesthetic appeal, are its strength and reliability, due to the fact that many pieces of furniture experience significant loads during operation.

First of all, various types of cabinets experience heavy loads, especially when storing dishes and household utensils, as well as tables, chairs, sofas, armchairs, beds, so their strength is important. Furniture experiences such significant loads in everyday life; furniture in cafes, restaurants, and hotels is subjected to even greater and more intense loads. Considering the need for proper service of furniture in any environment, its manufacturers use materials for its production, including solid natural wood of hard and durable species.

In total, more than 30,000 species of trees grow on our planet, of which slightly more than 100 species are used in furniture production in the world. However, the most common and sought-after wood for making durable and reliable furniture in many countries is oak. Oak, like many other species, is a unique tree, of which there are more than 600 species in the world. Since ancient times, people have been using for their needs everything that this beautiful unique tree produces – bark, acorns and, of course, its wood. For example, without the widespread use of cork tree bark, it is impossible to imagine winemaking from ancient times.

Oak wood is characterized by the greatest hardness, strength, strength and density and is an excellent construction and ornamental material. Another undoubted property of oak wood is its resistance to rotting and durability. Oak is used for a wide variety of buildings and structures, including underwater ones. Due to its unique properties, oak wood is widely used for making furniture, wall and ceiling panels, parquet and many other accessories. Oak wood has a fine-grained or medium-grained original texture ranging from golden and straw yellow, sometimes with a light pink tint, to various brown color shades. The properties of oak, its texture and color of wood depend on its type and specific place of growth.

Bog oak is very popular, the wood of which acquires a characteristic dark brown tint when kept in an aquatic environment for many years. Oak wood acquires a similar shade when it is processed in a decoction of oak bark; moreover, with prolonged aging, oak acquires an almost black “wenge” appearance. Regardless of the type of wood, oak is used primarily for the manufacture of luxury furniture – various cabinets, sets for living rooms, dining rooms and other sets in a classic style with its characteristic finishes and unique decor. At the same time, oak, especially its light colors, is successfully used in the manufacture of luxury furniture and other styles, including modern art deco, high-tech and other styles
