Properties of wood furniture

Making furniture from natural wood is a long and labor-intensive process, and few could afford to purchase it. In order to provide all layers and groups of the population with modern furniture, manufacturers of furniture materials have mastered many types of modern furniture materials. Moreover, the quality and properties of new furniture materials are constantly being improved.

For many thousands of years, among many peoples, wood, due to its unique properties, was practically the only material for making furniture. Each type of natural wood has its own individual and unique wood texture and no less unique color scheme.

Despite the fairly high price segment, many prefer furniture made from natural wood. Centuries of experience in manufacturing furniture from natural wood allowed us to thoroughly study the properties of each wood species, thanks to which the most optimal methods of wood processing and furniture manufacturing technologies were determined. Moreover, the most suitable breeds for the manufacture of specific pieces of furniture and even a combined approach to the use of various breeds in the manufacture of certain products were identified.

The main properties of wood of any species are the optimal combination of its design and decorative appeal and strength qualities. And if the design and decorative appeal, due to the unique natural texture and color shades, give the furniture a high aesthetic level, then it is the strength characteristics that contribute to giving the furniture sufficiently high strength, reliability, good quality and durability.

Many strength characteristics of wood – hardness, strength, wear resistance, deformability – depend on the hardness of the species itself. The hardest and most durable wood species are used for the manufacture of load-bearing elements and parts, and less hard wood, but with the most expressive wood, is used for finishing and decorative elements.
